Which CMS is better ?!

When I browse websites I see people talking about which CMS is better, today I will try to help you choose the right one.

First of all we must know why we choose CMS. I have tried to list 10 reasons:

    • 1-      Easy update and modification
    • 2-      No need developer to do simple things
    • 3-      Lots of ready extensions to use
    • 4-      Open source code
    • 5-      Easy access to developer worldwide
    • 6-      Search engine friendly
    • 7-      Easy design change and modify
    • 8-      Multi language support
    • 9-      Mobile support
    • 10-   Low cost maintenance

You can find lots of good CMS over the Internet but there are three types of CMSes that people always discuss:

  • Joomla
  • Drupal
  • Wordpress

I have been working in these three for 5 years and I have lots of experience in managing developer and designer on lots of projects , so I find joomla is special, want to know why?

First of all Joomla has the strongest framework and core and it’s easy to approve.

Just compare big extension on Joomla, Wordpress and Drupal

1 – shopping cart

wordpress

You can see here

http://speckyboy.com/2008/10/23/10-powerful-shoppingecommerce-plugin-solutions-for-wordpress/

Drupal

The best one is

drupalcommerce.org

Joomla

http://extensions.joomla.org/extensions/e-commerce/shopping-cart

Virtuemart as free and Redshop as paid

You can also use user integrator tools like Aceshop to integrate Opencart with joomla

Or Magebridge to integrate Magento with Joomla it’s really amazing!

You can compare for yourself, in my opinion Joomla really wins in this section

2- Property listing as a big market on the world

Wordpress

Drupal

http://drupalrealestate.com/

http://rlisting.netriftsolutions.com/

Joomla

http://extensions.joomla.org/extensions/vertical-markets/real-estate

On each big category you compare between Joomla with others, you can find the best extensions is for Joomla

Which means developer prefer to work on Joomla to make big things.

Joomla

Wordpress

Drupal

This is my opinion after 5 years of working with CMS systems.

Finally…if you want to make blogs, use Word Press but keep in your mind that it is very hard to add something such as good shopping card or something else later.

If you want to use just shopping cart, use Magento and keep in mind that it consumes very high developing fee and maintenance.

And nothing much to say about Drupal….

And if you want to build any kinds of websites you can try Joomla, it really works…

now i try to list out some diffrent website with joomla

Shopping cart

Virtuemart and redshop

Real estate

RPL IProperty JEA

Blogging

Easy blog

Directory

Sobi|Mosets Tree

Forum

kunena

Help desk

MaQma Helpdesk

Project management

Projectfork

Social Network

Joomsocial and Community builder

So search and compare for yourself any extensions available in other CMSes, good luck!

also remember joomla is swiss army knife, so its mean you must know how to use it and its not like crazy Wordpress or complicated Drupal its diffrent world for smart people.

What Can Joomla Do?

Joomla, the content management system for websites, which is making huge inroads into the world wide web, can be put to work and made to do almost anything you want it to.

A Content Management System manages content- by bringing together the different building blocks required to assemble a page for the visitor. The building blocks can be articles, menus modules, components and plugins- each plays a unique role in the creation of the web page your visitor sees, and ultimately interacts with- on your website.

The building blocks of the website are specified individually and called in at the ultimate discretion of the website owner- and under the command of the visitor- to create the finished "Web Page".

It doesn't end there.

Making Joomla Websites Fantastic - Customizing with Joomla Extensions

Joomla, by its very nature, can be customized, accessorized and monetized to your heart's desire. Joomla websites can run booking systems, host blogs, provide portals, online communities, blogs and shopping-cart superstores, as well as lots more.

The website administrator can assign permissions to visitors, and those lower down in the food chain from the Administrator level. The actions can be regulated, so for example- a casual vistor couldn't change the prices on your "Prices" page, and send you broke!

Joomla provides the platform, and Jacarlin builds the complete website solution for your end needs. We can provide any imaginable level of customising within the Joomla space- our Malaysia Web Site Design team can even write custom applications precisely for your business, to help you achieve exactly the look and functionality level you need within your new Joomla website.

First off I would like to say that I'm fully aware of the fact that Joomla isn't the software equivalent of a magical fairy land. Neither have I spotted any unicorns in the Joomla scene, nor do I recall seeing double rainbows in the source code. There have been many changes within Joomla lately and a lot of the Joomla bashing is based on hearsay and old information. Therefore with this blog I'm going to try to set some faulty assumptions about Joomla straight- right from the start!

Over the last few weeks there has been a lot of activity in blogs and Twitter about Joomla vs Drupal vs Wordpress. This seemed to start with a Slashdot article and then the usual respective groups launching diatribes about how their CMS was best and the others were the spawn of the devil. OK, maybe that's an exaggeration, but perhaps not far off. Those comment flame wars can get pretty testy. Then we saw couple more posts, occasionally with some clear misconceptions included.
